The Nets broke out of a slump and ended their four game losing streak with a 105-97 victory against the Cleveland Cavaliers at IZOD Center in East Rutherford last night. SG Vince Carter led the way with 32 points, 7 boards and six assists.

The game marked the debut of the \’Kiddie Corps\’ – rookie PF Sean \”Swat\” Williams (22 minutes) alongside second-year man C Josh \”J-Bizzy\” Boone (27 minutes) in any serious action together. The two held it together on both ends of the court scoring 24 points and hauling down 12 boards to give New Jersey the chance to win.

SF Richard Jefferson (24 points) did a fine job limiting LeBron James as PG Jason Kidd (another near triple-double @ 8-11-8) and Bostjan \”Boki\” Nachbar (13 points) played important roles in this victory as well.

The Nets now head to Madison Square Garden for a back-to-back Sunday night game rematch against the New York Knickerbockers who will likely be without starting PG Stephon Marbury. Tip-off is 7:30pm EST.*
