Jaycee Carroll off to Italy

Jaycee Carroll off to Italy

6-2 PG Jaycee Carroll, who played well for the Nets Summer League entry, has followed in the footsteps of Nenad Krstic and Boki Nachbar to Europe. Reports that he signed yesterday with Teramo Basket seem to be confirmed. They are a team in the first division of Italy

This a good move for Jaycee as it will afford him the opportunity to play and grow in the highly competitive Italian League. Reports are that he got a guaranteed contract in Euros.

If he shows that he can play both guard positions, it might be his stepping-stone to another shot at the NBA with more money involved – rather than as an end-of-bench player that he\’d surely be if he tried to make a team off of a training camp invitation. Jaycee may have had a chance to stick with the Nets, but, apparently, the Nets will now have to move in another direction for a third guard if that\’s what they want. Stay tuned!*
