Nets Keep Wolves at Bay for Third Straight

Nets 92, Minnesota 88

East Rutherford, NJ, Feb. 12 — The Nets held the Minnesota Timberwolves at bay, 92-88, in the swamp this snowbound evening at the Meadowlands to cobble together a modest three-game winning streak. It wasn\’t pretty, but given their struggles of late, the Nets\’ll take it

An all-around effort highlighted by PF/C Josh Boone\’s defensive effort (as principal defender) on Minnesota PF Al Jefferson got it done for New Jersey. Josh finished with 8 points, 11 boards and 4 blocked shots that included a nifty pair of assists (one of them in the open court to Jason Kidd for an easy score late in the game).

The Nets, in this year of soul-searching, now head up to Toronto. They get a chance to continue the streak against the Raptors tomorrow prior to the all-Star break. The game gets underway at 7:00pm EST and will be broadcast on YES Network.*
