The Nets got off to a strong seven point lead in the first quarter, at 20-13 with 2:53 remaining tonight at the Meadowlands, but out came Marcus Williams, Josh Boone and Vince Carter. The reserves managed to hold it at 23-16 before the momentum shifted and the game became a nip and tuck affair for the better part of 3 and 1/2 quarters before the Magic, led by Hedo Turkoglu, pulled away for a decisive 102-92 victory against the poorer shooting Nets who were without Devin Harris.*
